California Closets: May 15, 2008 If you've got it bad for shoe shopping, then do something good by putting your unused or almost new purchases to work for an important cause. Join the Hello Stiletto Shoe Club Thursday May 15th from 6pm to 9pm for a Shoe Soiree hosted by California Closets, 1660 Soldiers Field Road in Brighton, to benefit Dress for Success of Boston. Enjoy complimentary refreshments and enter to win the closet of your dreams, a California Closet worth $2,500! The evening's festivities will also include a 'walk off' with prizes for "Best in Shoe" so be sure to wear your most fabulous footwear and be prepared to strut your stuff on the pink carpet. Dress for Success is an international nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing them with professional attire, a support network, and career development tools. Bring your donations of new or gently worn professional dress shoes to support the career growth of women working to get a jumpstart in the workplace. Donations of purses, costume jewelry, scarves, and new hosiery are also appreciated. Waltham-based Planet Shoes is doing its part by generously donating twenty-five brand new Italian leather handbags! To attend, please RSVP to me by email as soon as possible.
