If the Shoe Fits

Ever spent more than a week's salary on a pair of stilettos? Or treasured a pair of flats so much that you couldn't even bring yourself to wear them? If so, you're the perfect candidate for Melissa O'Shea's Shoe Club, which holds its next meeting at 6:30 p.m. on April 20 at 28 Degrees (1 Appleton Street, Boston, 617.728.0728) ÷ just in time for open-toe season. Expect to spend an hour or so fawning over each other's heels, and then enjoy dinner and the awarding of prizes for the best pairs. There's no charge to attend; just RSVP to melissa0509@shoeclub.us and expect to pay for your own drinks and meal. O'Shea, who calls the parties "the ultimate justification for a bad shoe-shopping habit," recently formed a full-fledged company called Hello Stiletto. She's planning annual events, like shoe-shopping trips and a summertime "Shoe and Collar brunch" at Polka Dog Bakery. But all we want to know is, what's O'Shea's favorite pair? It's a toss-up between her turquoise Jimmy Choos and a pair of leopard-print Manolo Blahniks.
